Nature of Services

BriefCase (brfcase.com) provides research support and literature search services for medical professionals. Our role is to assist physicians, residents, and fellows in their scholarly activity by providing organized research materials, literature searches, and data extraction spreadsheets.

We do not write papers for you. Our "Briefcases" are research support packages containing literature searches, screened study candidates, and organized data. You, the User, are responsible for synthesizing this research into your own original work.

User Responsibility & Academic Integrity

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for the ethical and proper use of research materials we provide.
• You must ensure your use of our services complies with your institution's policies on research assistance and scholarly activity.
• You are responsible for writing your own manuscripts, reviews, and publications based on the research we provide.
• BriefCase accepts no liability for how you use the research materials we deliver.

Service Delivery

We offer three Briefcase products:

• Case Briefcase ($79): Background literature for case reports, delivered within 24 hours.
• SR Briefcase ($149): Systematic review research package, delivered within 48 hours.
• SR Briefcase Pro ($249): Comprehensive systematic review package with meta-analysis readiness, delivered within 72 hours.

Delivery times begin once we confirm your order and receive your research topic details. Complex or specialized topics may require additional time, which we will communicate promptly.

Revisions & Refunds

Each Briefcase includes one round of revisions to refine search parameters or inclusion criteria. Additional revisions may be accommodated at our discretion.

Refunds are available if we are unable to deliver the promised materials. Due to the nature of research services, refunds are not available after delivery of the Briefcase unless there is a material defect in the deliverables.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the deliverables we create for you. However, we retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated data about search methodologies for improving our services. We will never share your specific research topic or any identifying information.

Limitation of Liability

BriefCase and its affiliates, employees, and contractors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services.

Specifically, we are not liable for:

• Academic or professional consequences, including but not limited to manuscript rejections, fellowship match outcomes, or publication decisions.
• Decisions by journal editors, peer reviewers, or institutional review boards.
• Any legal or professional consequences arising from your use of our materials.

You use this service entirely at your own discretion and risk. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific Briefcase purchased.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BriefCase, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of our services or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

Either party may cancel an order with written notice before delivery begins. Once research work has started:

• You receive all work completed to date
• You are charged proportionally for work completed
• Remaining balance is refunded within 7 business days

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, or in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
